Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy® (IMSA) in Aurora seeks a Coordinator of Residence Life Programming to lead the Residence Life team, oversee staff development and curriculum, and manage crisis response. The role requires collaboration with the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and campus partners.

As an 11-month, live-on position, you will supervise RCs, coordinate hall openings/closings, and participate in on-call rotations, while shaping engaging programs for a diverse student

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required.
• Minimum two years in residential life or school setting.
• Crisis management and emergency response ability.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
• Experience in diversity, equity and inclusion.
• Strong service orientation and ability to relate to diverse groups.
• Ability to be productive, take initiative and solve problems.
• Willingness to work irregular hours and hold a valid driver’s license.

Responsabilités

• Train, supervise and evaluate assigned Resident Counselors and Senior RCs.
• Supervise hall operations; conduct weekly walk-throughs for safety and cleanliness.
• Coordinate and supervise hall openings/closings each semester and holidays.
• Participate in on-call rotation; provide crisis response per policies.
• Coordinate weekly Residence Life team meetings.
• Serve as the programming coordinator for Residence Life.
• Develop and implement Residence Life curriculum aligned with trends.
• Partner with Diversity, Equity and Inclusion on programming and training.
• Oversee onboarding/training and liaison responsibilities of RCs.
• Conduct student disciplinary hearings as needed.
• Engage with best practices in higher education and gifted student programs.
• Maintain relationships with security, maintenance, faculty and front desk.
• Represent Residence Life on committees and assist with campus events.
