Job summary

Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts is seeking an Area Coordinator & Case Manager to actively participate in Residence Life, supervising staff, managing residence areas, and supporting student leadership through RHA and NRHH initiatives.

The role involves coordinating with Residence Life staff, assigning staff, and contributing to the living-learning environment while promoting student well-being and persistence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
• 1–3 years of Residence Life & Housing or education experience.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective collaborative partnerships with other campus departments.
• Demonstrate flexibility, resiliency, creativity, leadership, and supervisory capabilities including commitment to diversity and inclusive excellence.

Responsibilities

• Support the overall management of residence area(s) including opening/closing, key management, room changes, health and safety inspections, damage assessments, and maintenance requests.
• Select, train, and evaluate all student staff assigned to the residence areas.
• Coordinate Resident Advisor (RA) in-service program development.
• Supervise Residence Area Security Monitors (RASMs) and contribute to experiential learning initiatives.
• Lead staff in planning and implementing educational, social, and recreational activities for residents.
