Job summary

The University of Southern Indiana (USI) Department of History invitesapplications for the Associate Director of Residence Life. Under the Director of Housing and Residence Life, this exempt, on-site role supervises staff, coordinates programs, and fosters a safe, engaging on-campus living environment.

The position requires a Master’s degree and at least three years of post-master’s experience in residence life.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Student Personnel, Higher Education Administration, or related field (required).
• Strong organizational and administrative skills are essential.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including written and oral presentation.
• Experience supervising student staff and professional staff in housing/residence life.

Responsibilities

• Oversee selection, training, and evaluation of residence life staff.
• Develop and implement programs to promote student success and community building.
• Coordinate staffing, budgeting, and housing facilities initiatives.
• Liaise with campus partners and committees to support strategic initiatives.
