Qualifications

• Master's Degree
• Three (3) to five (5) years of progressive supervisory experience in a residence hall environment
• Master's Degree in Higher Education Student Services, Counseling, or a related field
• Five (5) or more years of progressive supervisory experience in a residence hall environment

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of professional Resident Directors and indirect supervision of graduate staff
• Developing intentional practices to assist the development and growth of professional staff
• Establishing a learning-focused environment conducive to academic success and personal growth of residents
• Working with Resident Directors and student staff to develop educational, cultural, social, and recreational activities
• Enforcing behavioral standards set by Georgia Southern University and housing
• Responding to group and personal needs of students in the area
• Implementing effective management practices in day-to-day residence hall operations
• Staff selection, training, and development; chairing selection/training committees
• Develop learning outcomes for assigned staff level
• Assist with special projects as needed
