Job summary

The Bizzell Group is hiring a Residential Advisor in Long Beach, CA to support dormitory operations and supervise students in a 24/7 setting. The role emphasizes safety, counseling coordination, and adherence to policy while promoting student development.

The ideal candidate has at least a high school diploma (an Associate’s in a related field is preferred) and a year of youth-related experience, with strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of working with youth or related experience and/or training.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s Degree in human services preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel) is expected.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students during shifts to ensure a safe, orderly dormitory operation.
• Schedule and supervise cleanup, laundry, cafeterias, and activities as assigned.
• Maintain communication with students’ counselors, instructors, and staff.
• Transport students to activities and events as needed.
• Maintain logbooks and ensure CIS entries are accurate and up-to-date.
