Job summary

The University of South Alabama’s Central Housing department is seeking to hire two Environmental Services Aide I’s. The positions are based on the Main Campus and involve maintaining cleanliness in residence halls and common areas, including offices and lounges.

Ideal candidates will follow oral instructions and perform routine cleaning tasks, including floors, restrooms, and move-in/move-out turnovers, with a Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. schedule and full-time status.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of residence halls, offices, and common areas, including hallways, lounges, stairwells, elevators, laundry rooms, and study spaces.
• Cleans and services student living spaces, including residence hall rooms, suites, and apartments, per turnover sanitation standards.
• Maintains restroom and bathroom facilities by cleaning and disinfecting fixtures; restocking supplies; removing trash.
• Performs routine and deep-cleaning tasks, including floor care, carpet cleaning, window washing, and wall/surface cleaning.
