Job summary

Buffalo State College seeks a Complex Director for Residence Life to lead and educate residents in a 12-month live-in role. You will supervise student staff, develop a residential theme area, and respond to crises with a strong focus on safety and community development.

Qualifications

• Full-time experience in residence hall or university apartment management.
• Ability to respond to emergency situations during non-traditional business hours and on weekends.
• Experience fostering inclusive communities through programming or training.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train undergraduate staff and graduate assistants.
• Develop and implement community programming and housing initiatives.
• Provide 24-hour crisis intervention and support for residents.
• Serve as conduct officer for student conduct and community standards.
• Manage facilities and on-call responsibilities, including after hours and weekends.
• Oversee summer assignments such as summer hall director or conference roles.
