UniversalAGI, Inc. is seeking a Reservoir Simulation Engineer in San Francisco to design and run high-fidelity reservoir simulations across conventional and unconventional plays. You will build scalable models, generate datasets, and collaborate with the CEO to align product direction with real-world pain points.

You will work directly with the AI team to bridge traditional reservoir engineering with cutting-edge ML, accelerating model development and validation for subsurface simulations.

Formación

• 3–5+ years of industry hands-on experience building and running reservoir simulation models.
• Expert in reservoir simulation frameworks (Eclipse/Intersect, CMG, OPM Flow)
• Deep understanding of PVT behavior, relative permeability, capillary pressure, and history matching
• Solid knowledge of geologic/geocellular model construction, upscaling and grid generation
• Strong communicator capable of bridging customers, engineering and research teams
• Ability to work in high‑intensity startup environments with evolving priorities

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and run reservoir simulation studies across conventional and unconventional reservoirs.
• Construct reservoir models and simulate hundreds of variants to train models at scale.
• Guide product development by solving research problems with the AI team.
• Collaborate with clients to define benchmarks, validation criteria, and workflows.
• Generate high-quality simulation data that feeds foundation models.
• Lead technical conversations translating reservoir engineering to AI terms.
