Job summary

UniversalAGI, Inc. in San Francisco is hiring a Product Engineer to own and extend the customer-facing product across the stack. You will work with a team of researchers and engineers to deploy experiments and translate advanced research into reliable workflows.

You will build experiences for importing CAD/geometry, configuring model workflows, and exporting results, while collaborating with platform and research teams. This is an onsite role with equity opportunities.

Qualifications

• End-to-End Product Engineering: Experience shipping and operating customer-facing products across React/TypeScript frontends, Python backends, APIs, and data systems.
• Product Judgment: Ability to turn complex technical workflows into clear, effective experiences for expert users.
• Production Ownership: Comfortable designing maintainable systems, debugging production issues, and managing reliability, rollouts, and migrations.
• Customer Focus: Able to work directly with technical users, make sound tradeoffs, and own outcomes in an early-stage environment.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end customer workflows from geometry data through model configuration, benchmarked predictions, and deployed or exported results.
• Ship production features across the stack using React/TypeScript, Next.js, Python, databases, cloud services, and APIs.
• Design clear product abstractions with intuitive interfaces, workflow templates, and APIs for simulations, datasets, model jobs, evaluations, and outputs.
• Work directly with customers to turn needs into scalable product capabilities.
• Own production quality by improving observability, performance, migrations, and incident diagnosis.
• Shape product and architecture by collaborating with founders, Research, and Platform Engineering.
