Job summary

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a development plan for Delaware Basin assets.
• Provide reservoir engineering support with economic analysis, RTAs, decline curve analysis, and reserves updates.
• Analyze well spacing to optimize performance across fields.
• Collaborate to optimize completion and production practices.
• Forecast production and monitor performance for all wells.
• Assist Reserves Manager with quarterly/year-end reserves updates.
• Analyze reserves and value of acquisitions/divestitures and support A&D activity.
• Coordinate with Finance to maintain long-term budgets and update type curves, PDP, and expense forecasts.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Description

Permian Resources (NYSE: PR) is currently seeking a Reservoir Engineer reporting to the Reservoir Engineering Manager in Midland, Texas. This position will be responsible for providing reservoir engineering support for a variety of projects (as detailed below). The ideal candidate will have strong technical as well as communication skills and be able to contribute his/her expertise while working on a multi-disciplinary team. There is flexibility with the level and title of this role depending on the candidate's skillset, qualifications and capabilities.

General Responsibilities

• Work with multidisciplinary team to generate and execute a development plan that maximizes the value of PR's Delaware Basin Assets
• Provide reservoir engineering support and guidance on multidisciplinary field/well studies with a specific focus on economic analysis supported by rate transient analysis, decline curve analysis, material balance, volumetrics, etc.
• Analyze lateral and vertical well spacing across all fields to determine optimal spacing within each target horizon
• Collaborate with team to analyze completion and production practices that optimize value across acreage position
• Analyze reservoir fluids and monitor production performance to generate accurate production forecasts for all wells
• Support Reserves Manager in analysis of quarterly and year-end reserves updates.
• Analyze reserves and value of potential acquisitions, divestitures, and trades and integrate with multidisciplinary team to execute on A&D strategy
• Work with Finance team to maintain long term budget forecast and update type curve, PDP, and expense forecasts regularly
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• BS in Engineering
• 3+ years of oil and gas engineering experience with a training program complete
• Proficiency in ComboCurve, Excel, Spotfire and Microsoft Office
• Must have relevant reservoir engineering experience with unconventional resource plays
• Must be self-motivated and capable of independently integrating within multi-disciplinary teams
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization

Preferred Qualifications

• Operations experience (production, completions, drilling, etc.)
• 1+ years of reservoir engineering experience
• Working knowledge RTA (Whitson+ or equivalent).
• Experience working the Delaware Basin
