Job summary

Permian Resources seeks a Reservoir Engineer in Midland, Texas, reporting to the Reservoir Engineering Manager. The role provides reservoir engineering support for multiple projects, with emphasis on economic analysis, rate transient analysis, and reserves assessment within a multi-disciplinary team.

Candidates should have a BS in Engineering and 3+ years of oil and gas experience, excellent communication, and proficiency in ComboCurve, Excel, Spotfire and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering; 3+ years of oil and gas engineering experience with a training program completed.
• Proficiency in ComboCurve, Excel, Spotfire, and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with unconventional resource plays.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a development plan for Delaware Basin assets.
• Provide reservoir engineering support with economic analysis, RTAs, decline curve analysis, and reserves updates.
• Analyze well spacing to optimize performance across fields.
• Collaborate to optimize completion and production practices.
• Forecast production and monitor performance for all wells.
• Assist Reserves Manager with quarterly/year-end reserves updates.
• Analyze reserves and value of acquisitions/divestitures and support A&D activity.
• Coordinate with Finance to maintain long-term budgets and update type curves, PDP, and expense forecasts.
• Other duties as assigned.
