Job summary

Permian Resources is seeking a Business Development Reservoir Engineer in Midland, Texas. Qualifications

  • BS in Petroleum Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of oil and gas engineering experience with 2+ years in Reservoir Engineering.
  • Delaware Basin experience preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in ARIES and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary Business Development team to evaluate acquisitions, divestitures, and trades across the Permian Resources portfolio.
  • Support BD team in all evaluation steps from data management to quantification of deal components.
  • Create, generate and present high quality engineering analysis and recommendations to senior management.
  • Work with broader technical teams to leverage knowledge and support asset underwriting.
  • Coordinate with Finance to integrate technical underwriting into corporate modeling.
  • Execute hand off from Business Development to Asset Teams as deals transition.

This position will be responsible for providing technical support in evaluations and underwriting for Permian Resources A&D activity. The ideal candidate will have strong technical as well as communication skills and be able to contribute his/her expertise while working with multi-disciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment.**General Responsibilities:*** Work with multidisciplinary Business Development team to collaborate and deliver evaluations of acquisitions, divestitures and trades across the PR portfolio* Support current technical BD team in all steps of the evaluation, from data management to the quantification of all pieces of a prospective deal* Create, generate and present high quality engineering analysis and recommendations to senior management* Collaborate with broader Permian Resources’ technical teams to leverage existing knowledge and synergies to support underwriting of assets* Work with Finance Team to integrate technical underwriting into corporate modeling* Execute hand off from Business Development to Asset Teams as deals are transitioned into and out of PR portfolio**Minimum Qualifications****:*** BS in Petroleum Engineering or related field* 5+ years of oil and gas engineering experience with 2+ years of Reservoir Engineering experience* Relevant experience with unconventional resource plays, with specific interest in candidates with Delaware Basin experience* Must be self-motivated and capable of independently integrating within multi-disciplinary teams* Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization* Proficiency in ARIES and Microsoft Office**Preferred Qualifications****:*** Some operations experience (Production, Completions, Drilling, etc.)* Working knowledge of SpotfirePermian Resource is an equal opportunity employer.
