Job summary

National Emergency Management and Response seeks reservist nurses to provide health care services as needed. Roles are intermittent and based on skill and availability, with deployments within 24–48 hours to support emergency responses such as hurricanes and mass casualty events.

Positions are not full-time; compensation is based on actual hours worked and job classifications. Candidates must hold an active LVN/LPN license and may need a compact license. Training is required for ICS courses.

Qualifications

• Two years of nursing experience.
• Pediatric and adult nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand and follow National EMR policies and procedures.
• Promote a safe work culture and report safety concerns.
• Maintain active status in agency platforms and complete required training.
• Perform nursing duties and provide health care services per protocols.
• Communicate with supervisors on care quality and contagious disease control.
• Maintain written and electronic medical health care records.
• Ensure confidentiality of health care records per HIPAA and PHI rules.
• Document nursing activities accurately per policies and timelines.
• Collaborate with physicians and nurse managers on best practices.
