Qualifications

• Must be at least 19½ years of age at time of application.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Applicants will be required to submit documents during the background investigation.
• Graduation from a U.S. high school or equivalent; GED, TASC, HiSET, CHSPE accepted.

Responsibilities

• Respond to public offenses with immediate danger to person or property within legal guidelines.
• Perform law enforcement administrative tasks such as writing reports and maintaining records.
• Maintain knowledge of policies and procedures from legal changes.
• Manage equipment and attend required training; maintain proficiency with issued gear.
• Respond to emergencies to protect lives and prevent crimes.
• Testify in court and perform custody and court-related duties as assigned.
• Engage in community policing and collaborative problem-solving.
• Operate as jail/bailiff in court facilities and supervise inmate activities.
• Conduct routine patrols, investigations, and transport inmates as needed.
• Coordinate specialized duties and respond to incidents with proper procedures.
