Job summary

Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows in Santa Monica, CA seeks a reservations-focused team member to provide professional guest service and manage room bookings. Responsibilities include entering reservations in Opera PMS, handling rooming lists, and ensuring follow-up to meet brand standards.

Role emphasizes upselling hotel facilities, coordinating with Front Office and Sales, and delivering a flawless check-in/check-out experience.

Qualifications

• Previous customer related experience required.
• Previous Opera PMS experience preferred.
• Computer literate in Microsoft Windows applications required.

Responsibilities

• Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service.
• Book and enter room reservation requests using the Property Management System.
• Enter rooming lists while ensuring accuracy, as required.
• Take ownership of the caller’s request and ensure follow up according to the hotel’s standards.
• Review daily arrivals and audit duplicate reservations, special requests.
• Communicate with Front Office/Guest Services team to ensure requests are followed through.
• Update reservations ensuring a flawless check in and check out process.
• Ensure revenue is maximized by up-selling guest rooms and recommending hotel facilities.
• Liaise with Sales and other departments as required.
• Answer telephone and email inquiries in a timely manner.

Job Description

Reporting to the Revenue Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

• Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
• Book and enter room reservation requests using the Property Management System
• Enter rooming lists while ensuring accuracy, as required
• Take ownership of the caller’s request and ensure follow up according to the hotel’s standards
• Review daily arrivals and audit duplicate reservations, special requests (such as connecting, nearby, etc.).
• Communicate with Front Office/Guest Services team to ensure requests are followed through
• Update reservations ensuring a flawless check in and check out process
• Ensure revenue is maximized by up-selling guest rooms and recommending hotel facilities
• Liaise with Sales and other departments as required
• Answer telephone and email inquiries in a timely manner

Qualifications

• Previous customer related experience required
• Previous Property Manager System (Opera) experience preferred
• Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications required
