Job summary

Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee is seeking an entry-level Laboratory Assistant to support department research through project execution, data management and routine experiments.

Under general supervision you will assist with experimental designs for sponsored projects, record results, maintain supplies, operate and calibrate equipment, culture cells, and help interpret data to ensure reliable study outcomes while upholding safety and quality standards.

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • No experience required.

  • Oversee daily lab operation in the absence of the supervisor or Principle Investigator.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Summary

Knowledge - Skills - Abilities
  • Knowledge of biology, chemistry, mathematics, documentation, and records management.
  • Data utilization, complex problem solving, critical thinking, resource management, and writing skills.
Qualifications

Appropriate experience may be substituted for education on an equivalent basis.

Minimum Required Education: Bachelor's degree

Minimum Required Experience: No experience required

Sensory Acuity

Ability to detect and translate speech or other communication required. May occasionally require the ability to distinguish colors and perceive relative distances between objects.
