JOB SUMMARY
Works under minimal supervision to provide responsible technical assistance in performance of assignments requiring basic knowledge of techniques and practices related to particular field of science.
The selected candidate will be responsible for a variety of research duties within the Gnotobiotics facility and the Lora Hooper lab in the Department of Immunology. Mouse husbandry, maintenance of the gnotobiotic mouse colony, design and performance of mouse experiments, training of new lab personnel on gnotobiotic techniques, and compliance with IACUC and AALAAC policies are among the duties that this person will perform.
The preferred candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in life sciences and willing to work with animals. Pre-med students encouraged to apply.
