Summary

Baylor College of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics, Immunology, Allergy and Retrovirology Service at Texas Children's Hospital, is seeking a highly motivated, responsible, and organized individual to join the Immunogenetics Research Program as a Research Technician. The technician will be responsible for organizing national expert panel activities. This is a part-time position (16 hours/week) and is for a limited duration, considering the funding for this position.

Job Duties

• Organize and coordinate national genetic expert panel activities.
• Complete and maintain research compliance training; track compliance amongst project members.
• Work closely with biocurator(s) of genetic diseases and variants.
• Track and document national genetic expert panel accomplishments.
• Coordinate expert panel conference calls.
• Submit expert panel summaries to repositories and databases.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a Basic Science or related field. Two years of related experience may substitute for the degree requirement.
• One year of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a Genetic Counseling Master's program is a plus.
