Job Summary

The Environmental Services Technician I is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment to support high-quality care, performing daily and special cleaning tasks according to departmental standards and safety protocols. The role requires adaptability, teamwork, and ongoing professional development.

Job Functions

• Performs daily cleaning of assigned areas, including patient rooms, bathrooms, trash disposal, high dusting, sanitizing, spot cleaning, and disinfecting walls and ceilings, following SOPs.
• Completes special cleaning tasks as assigned, adhering to safety and infection control standards.
• Maintains a professional, efficient, and confidential approach in all duties.
• Participates in inservices, performance improvement activities, and educational programs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively; highly desired
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to provide service to diverse patient populations, including neonates to geriatrics
