Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center's Singhvi Lab in Seattle is seeking a Research Technician I to join a diverse, collaborative team that studies how glia influence neural circuits and behavior. You will perform bench experiments, maintain reagents, and help document protocols to support cancer and nervous system research initiatives.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and basic lab skills; experience with imaging or animal behavior is a plus.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related scientific field or equivalent experience.
Demonstrated scientific knowledge in the area of study.
Demonstrated basic laboratory skills.

Responsibilities

Perform bench-level experiments to support investigative work.
Order and maintain reagents, stocks, cultures or cell lines.
Perform and modify documented protocols and assays.
Maintain laboratory records and compile data on experiments and assays.
Interpret and report on experimental results.
Perform statistical analysis of test results and prepare written reports on work performed.
Operate and carry out basic maintenance of laboratory equipment.
Order and maintain appropriate levels of supplies.
May supervise work-study students.
Perform other duties as required.
