Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle seeks Research Technician II/III to support translational GI cancer studies in Dr. Grady’s lab. You’ll handle mouse husbandry, data collection, protocol monitoring, and collaboration with the PI and team.

Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s in a related field and 2 years lab experience; more senior applicants for level III may have 5 years or more. Benefits include relocation assistance and a comprehensive package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related scientific field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2 years of experience working in a lab outside of school coursework.
• Preferred qualifications include demonstrated scientific knowledge and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Mouse husbandry/colony management with transgenic and conditional knock-out mice.
• Maintain a database used for organizing inventory and tracking information.
• Collect and analyze data and monitor adherence to study protocol.
• Inform PI of deviations and attend project meetings.
• Keep detailed records and maintain accuracy; perform other duties as assigned.
• For higher levels, assist in design of experiments and data interpretation.
