Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle seeks a Research Technician I to join the Singhvi Lab. You will perform bench experiments, maintain reagents, and document results as part of a collaborative, innovative team.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and demonstrate basic laboratory skills. Experience with nematodes or functional imaging is a plus. The position offers competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related scientific field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrated scientific knowledge in the area of study.
• Demonstrated basic laboratory skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform experiments at the bench level to support investigative work.
• Order and maintain laboratory reagents, stocks, cultures or cell lines.
• Perform and modify documented protocols and assays.
• Maintain laboratory records and compile data on experiments and assays.
• Interpret and report on experimental results.
• Perform statistical analysis of test results and prepare written reports on work performed.
• Operate and carry out basic maintenance of laboratory equipment.
• Order and maintain appropriate levels of supplies.
• May supervise work-study students.
• Perform other duties as required.
