The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine seeks a Research Assistant I to perform research and provide laboratory support within the Combat Wounds Infection Division at NMRC.

You will prepare materials, conduct assays, maintain records, and assist senior staff under guidance. Ideal candidates have a bachelor's in a science field, up to two years of experience, and familiarity with standard lab techniques.

Competenze

• Bachelor's Degree in a science-related field.
• 0–2 years experience preferred.
• Knowledge of standard laboratory techniques.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Good communication and analytical skills.
• Must obtain and maintain a T1/Public Trust background check.

Mansioni

• Execute laboratory experiments following SOPs and protocols.
• Prepare reagents, media, plates for studies.
• Conduct microbiology and molecular biology techniques.
• Assist in maintenance of cell lines and tissue cultures.
• Collect and upload raw data with integrity.
• Perform data checks and identify deviations.
• Maintain accurate lab documentation.
• Monitor equipment and environmental conditions.
• Train Laboratory Assistants as needed.
• Coordinate to ensure timely completion of studies.
