Under supervision of the Principal Investigator, the research technician will perform cellular and molecular biology experiments creating viral vectors for neuroscience applications. Duties include cell culture, cloning, DNA prep, viral vector purification, and lab maintenance, requiring attention to detail, recordkeeping, and aseptic technique.
The candidate will maintain sterile cell-culture conditions, quantify cell numbers, prepare reagents, and ensure safety protocols are followed. Opportunities include participating in other lab projects, data analysis, assisting with grant applications, and providing technical support.
Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.
Same as minimum education and experience.
