Job summary

AdventHealth in Denver, Colorado is seeking a Clinical Research Operations Leader to oversee day-to-day operations, mentor the study team, and ensure safe, compliant care delivery across research protocols.

The role drives talent acquisition, process improvements, and cross-functional collaboration to start studies on time and maintain high standards of quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Research, or related field is required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in clinical research is required.
• 5+ clinical research experience with increasing people management responsibilities is preferred.
• SOCRA CCRP or ACRP CCRC certifications preferred; BLS required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages the delivery of safe care with regard for the dignity and respect of all patients/participants.
• Supervises day-to-day activities of the clinical research team, including oversight of productivity and staffing schedules.
• Leads Talent Acquisition, team development, and performance management of research team members.
• Serves as a service line expert and resource for the research team, addressing barriers during day-to-day operations.
• Builds and maintains supportive relationships with team members through regular rounding and scheduled connections.
• Ensures teams maintain adequate inventory levels, orders equipment and supplies, and maintains clinical supply areas.
• Collaborates with operations manager, study intake, research services, and external partners for timely start-up and smooth transitions.
• Monitors and evaluates the quality and safety of clinical operations within the assigned area.
• Develops and maintains SOPs and ensures adherence by research operations teams.
• Provides guidance, education, training, and mentorship to promote growth for study team members.
• Delivers compliant clinical research study coordination including planning, organizing, and managing activities related to protocols.
• Supports preceptorship of new team members and communicates with the Operational Manager.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Description:

• Delivers effective and compliant clinical research study coordination, including planning, organizing, and managing all activities related to clinical research protocols.
• Serves in a supportive role for the preceptorship of new team members, monitoring their progress and providing open communication to the Operational Manager.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Work Experience:

• 2+ years of experience in clinical research [Required]
• 5+ clinical research experience with increasing people management responsibilities [Preferred]

Additional Information:

• An equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of the stated degree requirement.
• Bachelors Degree AND 2+ years of experience in clinical research OR
• Associates Degree AND 4+ years of experience in clinical research or related field.

Licenses and Certifications:

• SOCRA Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) [Preferred] OR ACRP Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC) [Preferred]
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) [Preferred]
