Job Responsibilities

• Apply scientific curiosity in researching the effectiveness, safety and toxicity of drugs in early development animal research studies.
• Handle and restrain animals.
• Provide husbandry duties to small and large animals.
• Perform various dosing techniques with small and large animals.
• Administer test items.
• Collect biological samples.
• Perform clinical observations.
• Collect and review data in accordance with Good Laboratory Practice Regulations (GLP) and standard operating procedures.
• Organize study related activities and data.
• Maintain the highest standards of animal care and welfare in accordance with the Association for Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care International (AAALAC).

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a Life Science discipline (Biology, Wildlife, Pre‑veterinary, Zoology, Animal Science, or related Life Science disciplines).

Preferred Qualifications

• Six months or more of direct animal care experience in a research lab or farming operation (large or small animals).
• AALAS Certification.

Pay Rate
