Job Description

We're looking for a detail-oriented and compassionate Research Study Coordinator I to join our nephrology research team in Detroit, United States. In this role, you will serve as a vital link between our research team, patients, and clinical operations, ensuring the seamless execution of clinical research studies focused on kidney disease and renal health. You will coordinate all aspects of assigned research studies while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, regulatory compliance, and patient care.   • Coordinate and manage day-to-day operations of assigned nephrology research studies, including patient recruitment, screening, enrollment, and follow-up activities with meticulous attention to detail
  • Prepare and maintain accurate study documentation, case report forms (CRFs), and regulatory files in full compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and institutional review board (IRB) requirements
  • Collect, organize, and verify study data with exceptional precision, ensuring data integrity, completeness, and accuracy throughout the research process
  • Schedule and conduct patient visits, informed consent discussions, and study-related procedures while maintaining professional, compassionate, and empathetic patient interactions
  • Maintain proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and clinical trial management software to document study activities, track patient progress, and generate timely reports
  • Communicate effectively and transparently with study investigators, site personnel, and patients to address questions, resolve issues collaboratively, and ensure protocol adherence
  • Monitor study timelines and milestones proactively, providing regular updates to the research team and identifying potential delays or concerns before they impact project goals
  • Ensure full compliance with all regulatory requirements, including HIPAA regulations, institutional policies, study protocols, and applicable federal guidelines
  • Assist with study budget tracking, supply inventory management, and resource allocation to support efficient research operations
  • Participate actively in study team meetings, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and support colleagues in achieving research objectives
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in responding to changing study needs and organizational priorities
Qualifications

**Required Qualifications:**

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in clinical research coordination or a related healthcare research environment
  • Strong knowledge of clinical research operations, study protocols, and regulatory compliance standards (GCP, IRB requirements)
  • Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and clinical trial management software
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple studies simultaneously
  • Exceptional attention to detail and unwavering commitment to data accuracy and integrity
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
