Colorado School of Mines invites applications for a Research Technical Staff position in Chemistry, located in Golden, CO. The role focuses on independently executing defined research as part of a broader project team, involving synthesis and characterization of organometallic lanthanide and actinide complexes.

Travel to industry collaborators may be required, and the appointment is 16 months with renewal potential. The successful candidate will hold a Ph.D.

Qualificações

• PhD in chemistry or related field with demonstrated experience in lanthanide/actinide complexes.
• Demonstrated experience in handling radioactive materials preferred.
• Ability to work independently within an interdisciplinary team and meet project deadlines.

Responsabilidades

• Engage in research within the broader project team.
• Synthesize and characterize organometallic lanthanide and actinide complexes.
• Plan, design and perform hands-on synthesis experiments per project objectives.
• Analyze data and communicate results through reports and meetings.
• Collaborate with academic and industry partners for objectives and scale-up.
• Manage program elements including budgeting and supervision of graduate students.
• Publish results and present at conferences.
