Job Title: Research Services Clinical Sciences Professional (Open Rank: Entry – Intermediate)

Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Coordinate departmental processes for securing Institutional Review Board (IRB) approval.
  2. Assist faculty with developing and writing research protocols.
  3. Draft informed consent/assent documents following IRB standards.
  4. Submit applications and related documents (protocols, consents, etc.) to IRB.
  5. Conduct literature searches and reviews.
  6. Perform study-related duties as per research protocols, including:
  • Interacting with patients and participants to gather data and specimens.
  • Extracting data from patient charts (EPIC).
  • Performing other duties delegated by the PI.
  • Update research study tracking systems as studies progress.
  • Maintain required approvals throughout each study.
  • Data Management:
    • Create and maintain research databases in REDCap, Excel, and OnCore.
    • Enter data in various formats, including Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems.
    • Track participant involvement within studies.
    Work Location:

    Hybrid – This role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 2-3 days per week on campus, with in-person meetings as needed.

    Qualifications:
    Minimum Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s degree in any field.
    • One (1) year of clinical research or related experience.
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s degree in science or health-related field.
    • Experience with electronic data capture systems (e.g., EMR, EHR, data management systems).
    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Understanding of federal regulations and GCP.
    • Effective communication skills, both written and oral.
    • Ability to establish effective working relationships.
    • Commitment to diversity and inclusion.
    • Knowledge of basic human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.

    Anticipated Pay Range:

    The starting salary range for entry level is $47,743 – $60,729.
