Job summary

Attain Partners is seeking a Research Security Officer to implement and maintain university clients’ research security and export controls programs. You will be the subject matter expert on export controls, partnering with senior leaders to ensure compliance across institutions.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and at least five years of relevant experience, with a strong emphasis on ITAR, EAR, OFAC regulations and federal contracting. Travel may be required as part of program delivery.

Qualifications

• In-depth understanding of ITAR, EAR, OFAC regulations and federal contracting requirements.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration.
• Proven experience developing and implementing research compliance programs and global trade compliance.
• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of direct experience or equivalent combination.

Responsibilities

• Promotes a culture of compliance and oversees adherence to regulations and sponsor policies.
• Executes compliance activities including risk assessments and corrective actions.
• Serves as the institution’s research security point of contact and responds to information requests.
