Carnegie Mellon University’s department of Electrical and ComputerEngineering is looking for a talented research scientist to work onan innovative project, involving the design, microfabrication andbenchtop characterization of neural interfaces for multimodalrecording and stimulation of the central and peripheral nervoussystem. The research scientist will be responsible for the designand implementation of the neural interfaces, design of theexperiments and performing in vivo electrophysiology experiments onrodents.

This position may be filled as part-time (# hours) or full-time(37.5 hours per week), depending on candidateavailability.

Responsibilities:

• Propose and lead independent research goals within scope ofprojects.
• Contributor in developing and documenting research findings andcollaborator in writing scientific papers
• Acts as team leader, providing project managementdirection
• Lead research efforts within main goals of project and helpcoordinate interactions with other team members anduniversities.
• Writing documentation, technical papers, progress reports andparticipating in meetings/committees.
• Other duties as assigned
