North Carolina State University in Raleigh is seeking a Research Program Administrator to oversee the Screwworm Gene-Drive Research Program, coordinating multiple complex projects with internal and external partners.

You will lead administrative execution, grant management, and program operations, with a Bachelor's degree and strong organizational and communication abilities. The position is year-long with continuation contingent on available funding.

• Ability to work independently while collaborating with research and admin teams.
• Knowledge of administrative procedures, budgeting, and reporting requirements.
• Ability to communicate professionally with faculty, sponsors, and staff.
• Familiarity with project and office management practices.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project timelines, milestones, deliverables, grant administration, fiscal activities, research operations, personnel processes, subawards, external partnerships, regulatory requirements, and sponsor reporting.
• Manage competing priorities, identify risks, and coordinate solutions with university and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate daily operational activities, including research travel, purchasing, logistics, communications, and meetings.
• Provide administrative and operational support to the faculty program lead for research activities, collaborations, and dissemination of findings.
• Serve as a resource for staff regarding project administration, timelines, documentation, and sponsor requirements.
• Develop and refine project management tools and procedures to improve coordination and efficiency.
• Provide research administration and operational support for the Screwworm Gene-Drive Research Program and related activities.
• Participate in special projects to support program administration and advancement.
