Job summary

North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC is hiring a Research Program Administrator to support the Screwworm Gene-Drive Research Program led by Dr. Max Scott.

You will provide high-level project management, research administration, and operational coordination across multiple externally funded projects. You’ll work closely with the program lead, coordinating timelines, budgets, travel, procurements, and sponsor reporting to ensure timely, compliant project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent professional training and experience may be substituted for the advanced degree on an exceptional basis.
• Organizational and time-management skills to coordinate multiple projects and deadlines.
• Knowledge of budgets, expenditures, recordkeeping, and reporting for grants.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project timelines, milestones, deliverables, grant administration, fiscal activities, research operations, subawards, and sponsor reporting.
• Manage competing priorities and coordinate solutions with university and external stakeholders.
• Provide administrative and operational support for research activities and dissemination of findings.
• Develop and refine project management tools and lab procedures to improve coordination and efficiency.
