Summary of Job Duties: The Research Program Manager leads and manages community-based initiatives, develops regional Community Advisory Boards (CABs), supervises Community Health Workers (CHWs), and conducts community needs assessments to inform mini-grant programs. The role includes providing community perspectives to leadership and facilitating outreach to strengthen partnerships.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in social or behavioral sciences (psychology, social work, public health, sociology, anthropology, health science, or related field) plus five (5) years relevant experience in community outreach, program management, or public health.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Leadership in community initiatives.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience supervising and developing CHW staff.
  • Proficiency in project management and data reporting tools.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Establish and coordinate Regional CABs for community engagement.
  • Develop partnerships with community organizations and stakeholders.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise CHWs.
  • Conduct community needs assessments and oversee mini-grant programs.
  • Manage community-based research projects.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and ethical standards.
  • Maintain databases and prepare reports.
  • Serve as a liaison to the community.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and policy.
  • Assist in grant proposal development.
  • Manage budgets and resources.
  • Coordinate meetings and organize events.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
