Job summary

The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine, Inc. seeks a Program Coordinator with a scientific background to support management of scientific projects, including data tracking, documentation, analysis, IACUC protocol development and animal study oversight.

The role also covers equipment upkeep, ordering and general logistics, plus routine program management tasks. You will work with the PI and program staff within the Enteric Diseases Division of MRBD under the

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a scientific related field is required.
• Minimum 0-2 years experience required.
• Scientific background and experience with experimental design, experimental procedures, and data analysis.
• Strong verbal and written skills, particularly scientific writing.
• Ability to work both independently and as a team member.
• Coordinate and carry out many projects and tasks simultaneously.
• Knowledge of project management principles, and good communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Supports PI in monitoring study performance, analyses, and review of results, and participates in the development and implementation of new animal protocols.
• Assists in ensuring all required reports are completed and submitted on time.
• Helps to coordinate the processing and analysis of data and conduct of experimental tests procedures.
• Assists in overseeing and managing collection, maintenance, analysis, and evaluation of data used in grant submissions, presentations, and publications.
• May perform budgetary tasks including planning and/or forecasting.
• Maintains current and archival SOP and SSP databases, study databases, reports, presentations and publications.
• Communicates with internal staff and external customers. May negotiate with vendors and obtain quotes for equipment and/or supplies.
• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor.
