About This Role:

The Research Operations & Delivery Manager is part of Forrester’s Consumer & Digital Services research organization. The Research Operations & Delivery Manager will serve as a people manager for a team of 5-7 Research Associates (RA-s), overseeing the production and delivery of high-quality reports, presentations, and client engagement sessions.

The successful candidate will report to a Research Director, and support two additional Research Directors and their respective teams of Analysts.

Job Description:

Research Associate Management and Development

• Manage RA capacity across analysts and teams for IP creation/delivery, client engagement, and ad hoc projects.

• Meet regularly with RAs to understand, prioritize, and track progress on workload, tasks, and key projects and deliverables.

• Coach, enable, and support RA efforts to capture and turn ideas into action, build intentional/strategic relationships with their analysts, and develop client interaction skills.

• Attract, hire, and retain top RA talent and drive accountability and performance.

• On-board new RA hires in collaboration with Employee Experience and Research Operations teams.

Content Creation and Delivery Support

• Build and maintain content creation roadmap for research teams and oversee production and management of all deliverables (reports, webinars, blog posts, etc.).

• With the Research Directors, coordinate and plan content across the Consumer & Digital Services, Industry, and related research teams.

• In collaboration with the Research Operations team, produce performance and operational reporting. Build and maintain dashboards for senior leaders and identify areas of growth for research services.

• Coordinate across product management, digital, editing, and production teams on major initiatives, such as annual events and product evolution and launches.

Client Engagement and Experience

• Contribute to special projects such as standardization efforts of client guidance sessions and coordinating the build out of client journey blueprints.

• Coach Research Associates on preparation, note taking, and CRM management in support of Analyst-led delivery of client engagement.

• Develop tools and reporting to analyze client engagement sessions, identifying gaps in research coverage and areas of growth and opportunity.

Job Requirements:

• A BA/BS degree with a strong academic record. An interest in Consumer Marketing, E-Commerce, Financial Services, Retail, and / or Healthcare is a plus.

• Five years of professional experience, preferably in a research, consulting, or professional services setting.

• Experience coaching individuals or teams in a professional setting.

• Excellent project management and organizational skills. Ability to create, adapt, and adhere to processes.

• The ability to communicate precisely, logically, and professionally.

• Proven experience coordinating across functions within a large enterprise, building collaborative relationships, and engaging intellectually with colleagues including senior-level Directors, VPs, and C-suite executives. Strong experience with word processing, presentation, and spreadsheet software. Content management software experience a plus.

Please note that the base salary range indicated here is inclusive of all applicable US geographies listed in this requisition, with the exception of New York City. This salary range is based upon the position as described in the job listing. The offered compensation may vary within this range and is dependent upon the successful candidate’s primary work location, experience, training, education, and credentials.

Base salary range: $78,000 - $141,000

Base salary range for New York City, NY: $100,000 – $162,000
