Job summary

UW-Madison seeks a research Nurse Practitioner to join the Wisconsin Alzheimer's Disease Research Center within SMPH. You will perform comprehensive medical assessments and participate in a multidisciplinary clinician panel to establish dementia diagnoses for the WLS-ILIAD study.

Qualifications

• Current Wisconsin APRN license with NP role or eligibility to obtain before start date.
• Wisconsin RN license required by start date.
• Current NP certification or eligibility to obtain before start date.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, collects data, and evaluates primary health care services as directed by care plans.
• Develops individualized care plans based on medical assessments and established rules.
• Educates patients and families on managing conditions to promote health and well-being.
• May provide expertise, training, and guidance to community, peers, and students.
• Collaborates with research teams to develop study visit protocols and interpret lab/imaging results.
• Assesses, diagnoses, treats illnesses, and manages chronic health problems.
