Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Medical Assistant - Research to support investigator teams during participant visits in a clinical research setting.

The role performs vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, data collection, and assists with procedures, coordinating with RN and staff for safety and protocol adherence.

Required: Associate's degree or MA certification, BLS, basic computer skills, and 0–1 year of direct patient care.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Healthcare related field or MA Certification required.
• BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Basic familiarity with computers. Ability to navigate at a basic level within web-based applications.
• 0-1 year of direct patient care experience in a clinical or research setting.

Responsibilities

• Performs vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and data collection on study participants.
• Assists during procedures; records information and performs lab tests and specimen handling.
• Instructs participants, schedules follow-ups, and collaborates with RN on care plans.
• Maintains safety for at-risk participants under RN supervision.
• Escorts to radiology and labs; attends meetings and training.
• May assist in clinics with clinical research tasks.
