Job summary

University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Research Manager, UNLV International Gaming Institute (FLEXIBLE WORK SCHEDULE ELIGIBLE)[R0153377]. Reporting to the IGI Director of Research, this position supports IGI’s research mission through independent and collaborative work across the Institute’s research portfolio.

The role requires strong technical fluency in data science methods—including large-scale behavioral datasets, algorithmic auditing, machine learning, and reproducible

Qualifications

• PhD required in gaming, hospitality, computer science or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience required.
• Experience with Institutional Review Boards (IRB).
• Experience working in collaborative teams.
• Experience with large high-dimensional datasets.
• Proficiency in data analysis and programming languages (e.g., Python, R).
• Familiarity with data infrastructure and research computing environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead manuscripts, white papers, and policy briefs.
• Present findings to stakeholders and at conferences.
• Write grants and funding proposals.
• Supervise research staff (students, GA, postdocs).
• Assist editorial duties for the Gaming Research and Review Journal.
