Creighton University in Omaha, NE is seeking to hire a Research Assistant II for the Hong Lab.
The lab studies cellular mechanisms of mouse auditory neurons under healthy and pathological conditions, and utilizes multiple techniques including patch clamp, optogenetics, fluorescence imaging, viral injections, auditory brainstem response (ABR), RNA-seq and computational modeling.
This is a new lab at Creighton and this role will assist the PI in building essential electrophysiology and molecular biology setups for experiments. Other responsibilities of this job include daily mouse handling, genotyping, ABR and noise exposure system usage, molecular biology, and histology.
