General Responsibilities

The Research Laboratory Technician is responsible for assisting laboratory personnel with coordinating and executing research activities.

Education & Work Experiences Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or a related field with 1-3 years of laboratory experience.
• Prior experience in a cell culture setting and/or with basic antibody, protein analytical methods such as ELISA and protein concentration assays is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and in a team.
• Highly motivated, task-oriented, and attentive to detail.
• Excellent record-keeping skills.
• Basic knowledge of math and common laboratory equipment.
• Basic knowledge of aseptic techniques.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Work in sterile conditions to conduct cell culture experiments and maintain cell lines.
• Perform standard assays including flow cytometry, ELISA, protein concentration measurement, and sterility testing.
• Prepare buffer solutions and media.
• Collect and analyze data generated from experiments.
• Monitor inventory levels of supplies and reagents.
• Sterilize supplies and waste using autoclave.
• Write and review methods and validation documentation as needed.
• Process biological samples according to protocols, ensuring proper data recording.
• Use standard laboratory equipment safely and efficiently according to protocols.
• Maintain organization of freezers and refrigerators at all times.
• Ensure confidentiality of all donor and recipient information.
