What We Need

The Field Service Technician, ideally residing around the Great Lakes region (Northern NY, Michigan area). The ideal candidate will also be able to travel easily into Canada. The role requires travel throughout the assigned region, including Canada, providing installation, technical, and repair services for Gravotech products. Services are provided on-site at customer locations or by telephone consultation. This is a remote/work from home position and can be located anywhere within the assigned service region.

What You'll Be Doing

Reporting to the Field Service Supervisor, the technician will work independently, providing services including:

• Making service calls to resolve equipment issues.
• Technical troubleshooting and repair, including software diagnostics.
• Maintaining positive customer relationships.
• Conducting preventive maintenance and updating customers on new technologies.
• On-site installation of new equipment and ensuring proper setup.
• Providing training on equipment operation.
• Interpreting technical documentation.
• Communicating with customers and management.
• Maintaining accurate reports.

What You Will Need To Be Successful

• High School diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
• Five years of electro-mechanical equipment troubleshooting and repair experience.
• Ability to travel, including by air.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Strong technical and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents.
• Good communication skills, including written reports.
• Customer service orientation and presentation skills.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Bilingual in English and French preferred.
