ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Perform laboratory experiments following established protocols and procedures.

Qualifications

Education Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of laboratory techniques and procedures.
  • Familiarity with common laboratory equipment and instruments used in research experiments.
  • Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and scientific software tools.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey experimental procedures, results, and challenges.

  • Performs a variety of study tests and procedures according to prescribed protocols and assigned schedules.
  • Collects data via utilizing research equipment, structured interviews, library research, data processing and/or other research techniques.
  • Records data according to project requirements.
  • Processes acquired data and assists in its summarization using standard scientific techniques including computer programs.
  • Makes periodic reports of project status to supervisor.
  • Assists in care and maintenance of equipment, supplies, and work area. Alerts supervisor to equipment and supply needs.
  • Perform clerical duties incidental to research tasks as required.
  • Attends meetings as required.
  • Enhances professional growth and development through educational programs, seminars, and/or conferences.
  • Performs other research related functions as required or directed.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

1. Work requires a bachelors’ degree, or equivalent combination or education and experience. Requires intermediate math skills and ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry; apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; .deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations; read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; write routine reports and correspondence; and speak effectively before groups of employees. Spanish speaking preferred.

Remote Type: Onsite Work Location 243-245 Charles Street. Scheduled Weekly Hours 0. Employee Type: Per Diem. Work Shift: Day (United States of America). Pay Range: $21.00 - $29.01/Hourly. Grade 5.
