Job summary

Sierra Lobo is looking for a Research Laboratory Mechanic at the NASA Glenn Research Center in Sandusky, Ohio. You will perform mechanical-related tasks that support the upkeep of research hardware and systems, ensuring maximum operational uptime.

The ideal candidate must have at least 4 years of relevant experience as a Journeyman Level Mechanic, coupled with familiarity in maintaining and troubleshooting various mechanical systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years working experience as a Journeyman Level Mechanic.
• Completion of a 4-year State approved apprenticeship program is highly desired.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions from engineering or supervision.

Responsibilities

• Operate facility overhead crane, man-lifts, and forklifts.
• Perform welding and operate machine tools.
• Maintain and troubleshoot research hardware and mechanical systems.
