The Allen Discovery Center at Tufts University seeks an experienced Research Lab IT Manager to coordinate the Center's technology services within a lab environment. You will lead IT planning, evaluate emerging technologies, and ensure solutions align with institutional requirements while supporting researchers.

Responsibilities include managing research computing systems, coordinating with Tufts Technology Services, and mentoring junior staff.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5+ years delivering IT support in a research or scientific environment or equivalent.
• Proficiency in Windows, MacOS, Linux and server administration.
• Knowledge of networks, DNS, DHCP, security practices, and data protection.

Mansioni

• Oversee day-to-day operation, maintenance, and support of research technology infrastructure.
• Collaborate with Tufts Technology Services and center researchers to evolve the technology environment.
• Manage large-scale research data resources and data management practices.
• Provide first-line technical support and coordinate user access to resources.
• Develop technical documentation and standards for Center technology services.
