Job summary

ProEdge Services in Washington, DC seeks a Librarian to provide high-level library technical services to internal clients across the organization. The role emphasizes reference service, KM system support, and access to diverse research databases.

You will troubleshoot connectivity issues, help design library web pages, and contribute to new programming and services while managing subscriptions and database renewals. Strong knowledge of SharePoint, ILS, and Gen AI is expected.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Library Science (ALA accredited)
• 3+ years of experience
• Expertise in legal research a plus
• Expertise in searching the Web and commercial database services (Lexis-Nexis, Westlaw, EBSCOhost, Factiva)
• Expertise in using SharePoint (Modern) for web authoring, Knowledge Management systems, ILS, Chatbot, Canva, and MS Suite
• Knowledge of emerging technologies including Gen AI
• Ability to synthesize and provide actionable information on research findings
• Ability to work independently, within a collaborative structure, and in a high-production environment
• Ability to prioritize, adapt to new procedures, and work under short deadlines
• Excellent analytical, project management, and organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Monitors and responds to Ask a Librarian email requests and provides in-person reference service
• Supports operations and administration of KM system and research databases
• Troubleshoots connectivity issues: user support, authentication, database and e-journal changes, subscription platform changes, network and IP issues
• Assists in building, authoring, and designing library web pages
• Supports development of new library programming, products, and services
• Manages and serves as contact for assigned databases and subscription renewals
• Assists in library overview and instruction sessions, creating user guides, videos, and tutorials
• Supports maintenance of current library chatbot and implementation of new versions
• Creates and maintains library resource guides (LibGuides)
• Participates in special projects and other duties as assigned
