Job summary

The World Bank Group is seeking an experienced ETC Research Librarian to support research, reference, document delivery, market intelligence, systematic literature reviews, and AI-enabled research services. The role collaborates with the Library Research team, ITSDA, and external partners to deliver high-quality information services for HQ and country offices.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Library and Information Science or equivalent.
2 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Demonstrated experience providing research, reference, or information services to diverse clients.
Strong knowledge of research tools and databases (e.g., EBSCOhost, Scopus, ProQuest, Factiva).
Proficiency with Integrated Library Systems (e.g., Primo/Alma).
Excellent written and oral communication; ability to prepare and convey research findings clearly.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality research, reference, and document delivery support for World Bank staff and country offices.
Conduct systematic literature reviews and evidence searches; develop topical knowledge guides.
Support AI-enabled research workflows and evaluation of AI-generated information.
Produce regular reports, statistics, and insights to inform Library decision-making.
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver library services and knowledge products.
