Job summary

C Spire is seeking a Research Intern for a Summer 2026 program at our Ridgeland, MS corporate office. You will support wireless, fiber, and emerging tech research, exploring innovations and contributing insights to guide technology strategy.

Ideal candidates are curious, adaptable, and eager to work in a fast-paced research environment, with strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Active enrollment with good standing at a college or university.
• At least 12 credit hours in computer technology, mathematics, physics or engineering.
• Housing in the Jackson, MS metro area (special consideration).
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Provide research and support to the designated department.
• Perform assignments with professionalism and confidentiality.
• Explore assigned technologies in depth and apply scientific curiosity.
• Contribute to research projects informing strategy and adoption.
• Communicate effectively across teams in written and oral formats.
• Collaborate with other interns in the summer program.
