Job summary

Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston is seeking a Research Administrator for the Department of Medical Oncology and the Division of Hematologic Neoplasia and Hematologic Malignancies to manage a multi-laboratory research portfolio. You will coordinate pre-award grant preparation, post-award portfolio management, procurement, HR actions, and compliance with NIH policies under supervision.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing sponsored research funds and federal, industry, foundation grants.
• Strong collaboration with faculty and internal offices.
• Understanding of NIH Grants Policy Statement and internal policies.

Responsibilities

• Grant preparation and pre-award coordination for sponsored research.
• Post-award portfolio management and financial reporting.
• Procurement of lab supplies via POs and billing review.
• HR support: salary offers, postings, visas, merit and promotions.
• Compliance: NIH policy, time-and-effort, and conflict of interest guidance.
• Coordinate with central offices and external partners; support pricing and chargebacks.
