Job summary

Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston seeks a Research Administrator for the Department of Medical Oncology and the Division of Hematologic Neoplasia and Hematologic Malignancies to manage the research portfolio with direction from a supervisor.

You collaborate with faculty and researchers on sponsored research applications and financial management, liaise with central offices, and ensure compliance and timely reporting.

Responsibilities

• Grant preparation for sponsored research applications; manage deadlines and eligibility requirements.
• Post-award portfolio management: oversee funded projects, produce financial and narrative reports, ensure budget adherence.
• Procurement: approve purchase requests, verify funds, review and pay bills for core and center services.
• Human Resources: onboarding, salary offers, visa processing, merit and promotions, salary allocations.
• Compliance: ensure adherence to NIH/DFCI policies, manage time-and-effort processes and external agreements.
• Cores, Centers and Chargebacks: assist pricing, monthly billing, revenue tracking and expense management.
